Mark and
Deena I
by
Mark and Deena
live in a little village.
Today is
mom’s birthday,
and Mark and Deena
are so sorry,
that they have
no money.
They want to give
mom a present.
Then Deena says,
“Let’s go to the park
and make a bouquet of flowers
for mom.”
So the two children
walk to the park.
It is hot,
and there are lots
of flowers.
They find violets
and make a bouquet each.
“Now mom will be happy,”
Mark says.
Deena says.
“But where do
those flowers
come from?”
“From the sun,”
Mark says.
“They fall out of the sun
in the spring.”
“This is strange,”
Deena says.
“Then there should be
violets everywhere.”
Then the two children
walk back to mom
and they give her
the two bouquets.
“Oh, how happy I am,”
mom says.
“How beautiful flowers!”
And she gives
her children a hug.
“You are the best for me.
I cannot do without you.”
